Mick Miller

Mick Miller - Comedian

Born in Liverpool in 1950, Mick Miller had aspirations of being a footballer (or goalkeeper to be precise!). Unfortunately, this was not to be and he decided to pursue other interests. He travelled abroad and even spent time working on a Kibbutz in Israel. Eventually, on his cousin's recommendation, he became a sports host at the popular holiday camp Pontins. He began work at their Camber Sands park and gradually he became interested in comedy.

This led to a change in direction as he decided that being a comedian was what he wanted to do. He soon became in demand as his popularity grew. He took up an offer of work with an agency in Manchester and soon became a regular on the circuit.

In 1976 Mick appeared on the highly successful TV show 'New Faces' and as a direct result of this he was offered a job supporting Chuck Berry on his national tour. In 1977 Mick was offered his first summer season in Morecambe and in 1978 he spent the summer in Blackpool appearing on the South Pier.

Mick went on to appear on 'The Comedians' alongside comedy greats such as Roy Walker, Stan Boardman and Jim Bowen.

Mick has gone on to become one of the country's most sort after comedians as well as making appearances all over the world.
